Away from noise and traffic, surrounded by greenery and in the immediate vicinity of Lake Faak, the southernmost and sunniest bathing lake in Austria, lies our family-run and child-friendly Pension Piovesan.
All our 25 rooms and 2 apartments with balcony, renovated in 2011, are comfortably furnished and equipped with shower/WC, SAT-TV,W-LAN. Due to the unique location of the house, between the mountain massif of the Karawanken and Lake Faak, you have a wonderful view!
Ideally located at the crossroads of three countries and cultures, this starting point opens up an almost limitless variety of excursion destinations for young and old in our beautiful region, in Italy and in Slovenia.
No matter what the season or the weather, excursion possibilities are abundant. The borders with our two neighboring countries are only 20 kilometers away from us.
Behind our main house, in a very quiet location far from any traffic, is our 4000m² garden, a true paradise for children and teenagers.
In addition to the children’s playground, volleyball and basketball court, there is also the possibility to play table soccer, soccer or country field hockey. Other utensils for many games are ready.
A slackline is also available for our guests. Recently, small daring adventurers can also swing through the air with a Tarzan rope down from the hill.
You can end your eventful day wonderfully on the terrace in our garden with a glass of wine or beer from the house bar. Maybe you would like to forget the world around you and read a book in a cozy place in the evening sun – in our small library you will find many things.
And if you want to sit together with a wild-romantic campfire: There is a fireplace ready for you and your friends in a cozy spot in the large garden.
Only the young prospective dairy cows from the surrounding pastures sometimes observe curiously and with interest the events in our garden.

Whether bread, pastries, honey, or apple juice – some of our rich offer comes from our own production.
